Accounting Manager/Controller Smith Freed & Eberhard is a 45+ attorney downtown Portland litigation defense law firm. We are seeking an accounting manager/controller to deal with the day-to-day financial management of the firm. Responsibilities include all financial reporting, working with the outside CPA in year end closing and reporting and working with the managing partner on financial management and budgeting. This position also manages the accounting department, does payroll functions, administers the firm’s 401k plan and prepares monthly billing/management reports. We are looking for a team-oriented individual with five or more years progressively responsible accounting experience, including at least two years in the law firm environment. Strong Excel skills and PCLaw experience desirable. Excellent benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience.
